Where it is

I-575 is the eastern edge. Towne Lake Parkway runs west from Exit 8 through the area, Running Deer Parkway loops north of it and Towne Lake Hills South Drive runs south past Woodstock Middle and Woodstock High. The city limits here are irregular, with unincorporated streets between city ones, so check a parcel on the county’s records before assuming it is in the city. Every building we mapped here is in ZIP code 30189.

In the city’s 2023 Comprehensive Plan, about 83% of the buildings here are in the Suburban Living character area, which the plan describes as “larger lots” where “housing is consistently detached.” Most of the rest are in Neighborhood Living, with smaller lots and “some attached housing.” The plan’s transportation list includes an I-575 interchange improvement at Towne Lake Parkway.

Homes

The city’s subdivision map names Deer Run North and Deer Run West, the two largest at about 183 and 131 acres, plus Deer Run Trails, Parkview at Towne Lake, The Avonlea, Summit at Towne Lake, The Height at Towne Lake, Towne West, HearthSide Towne Lake and The Crossings Lane. It also names the Park at Towne Lake Apartments. OpenStreetMap labels the area around Deer Run “Deer Run at Towne Lake.” We found no city HOA registry, so this page does not list HOAs.
